Everything you need to know about Melbourne’s Anzac Day dawn service 2018
ANZAC DAY commemorations begin with the annual dawn service at 6am at the Shrine of Remembrance.
Patrons are recommended to arrive between 4am-5am to secure a position for the ceremony.
It is a free standing event with no seating, however, patrons can bring a small foldable chair if needed.
The Anzac Day march will kick-off at 9am and begin at the intersection of Flinders and Swanston streets before concluding at the Shrine of Remembrance.
If you can’t attend Melbourne’s dawn service, regional RSL’s have their own events:
REGIONAL ANZAC DAY DAWN SERVICES
Geelong’s service starts at 4:15am at Johnstone Park, Gheringhap Street with a gold coin donation for breakfast following the service.
Mornington Peninsula’s service is being held at Rye RSL at 6am.
Bendigo’s service is at the cenotaph in View Point, starting at 6am.
Ballarat’s service is at the Ballarat Cenotaph in Sturt Street at 5:45am, followed by a breakfast at Ballarat RSL Midlands Golf Club until 9.30am.
