Thank you to CMIB clients and community organisations for their part in CMIB’s major award win

A personal note from Penny Collins, Director CMIB Insurance

Recently, the National Association of Insurance Brokers honoured me with the prestigious Broker of the Year VIC/TAS Award.

Having worked as an insurance broker my whole career, it is humbling to be given this accolade and I wanted to express my thanks to all the clients and associates who have helped make this happen.I see the award as affirmation of hard work and confirmation that CMIB Insurance is a positive force in a frequently maligned industry.

The award criteria included two things that are close to my heart:

• Strength of client and underwriter relationships
• How the community has benefited as a whole from the nominee’s communal and volunteer activities

For my clients, I never forget the importance of the right insurance and the value of being by their side when times get tough. So, it is heart-warming that some of my clients provided flattering testimonials for the award judges. This includes Patrick Morison, Financial Controller Jalna Dairy Foods, who kindly wrote, “I have known Penny for over 20 years, since joining Jalna Dairy Foods. Penny has looked after our business with the utmost integrity during this time.”I firmly believe we should all be positive members of our communities. For me, that means, amongst others, the insurance community, local Diamond Creek Netball and being part of the Fight MND Foundation with the amazing Neale Daniher. As Neil Sproat, CFO Garden City Plastics so generously put it, “she has volunteered for the Fight MND Foundation has been very instrumental in raising $4.5million for the last 3 years’ events.”

I want to say thank you to all the amazing clients and other business partners I have had the pleasure of working with. I’m looking forward to continuing to support my clients’ journeys and, hopefully, when I go into September’s National Insurance Broker of the Year finals it will further affirm the importance I place on strong ethics and enduring business relationships.
